Mom’s Peanut Brittle

2 cups sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup water
Cook to soft ball
Add 2 cups raw Spanish peanuts
Cook to hard crack, will be light brown, takes additional 15-20 min.
remove from stove,immediately add
1 Table spoon butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
stir fast, whip
pour onto buttered cookie sheet with 1″ lip or 3-4 buttered
pie tins.
